I wrote a poem in 2015 called Creases. It spoke about how there is an unbelievable amount of pain in this world. The world drives men against women and relatives against each other, picking apart their individuality and true beauty as it fills them with a falsity of consumerism and a need to mask how they truly feel. The last part of the poem is about how in the darkest times when it feels as though there is no hope, there is light at the end of the tunnel. This light can be from others caring for one another, they can do this by meeting people where they are in life, loving them even in their imperfections, because if you really think of it nobody in this world will ever be perfect. It said that everyone is beautiful and should use their God given gifts to love, even when it seems imposible.
It has been revealed to me that art can save someone from the darkest places, showing them the true beauty of Jesus Christ who loves them. This is what art truly mean to me, it is reflection of the truly beautiful in this world.
